Andi Eigenmann shared her journey as a homeschooling mom
Celebrity mom Andi Eigenmann fired back at a basher who criticized her because her kids are homeschooled.
Andi took a big leap in her life when she left the glitz and glamour of showbiz for a simple life in Siargao with her partner Philmar Alipayo and their kids Lilo and Koa. Sometimes, her eldest daughter Ellie with her ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito would join them on the island.
In a recent Instagram post, the celebrity mom shared that she is homeschooling her kids. “A glimpse of Lilo & Koa’s 1st year as home/life schoolers! (AKA the 1st Semester),” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Andi Eigenmann’s post featured clips of the activities she and her partner did with their kids. It can be seen in the video that the kids had writing, reading, and coloring sessions. Aside from these normal scenarios in school, Lilo and Koa also explored plants, and animals, had fun activities in the sea, and of course, surfing.
There was a portion of the video that showed that Lilo appeared to learning how to cook. This decision that Andi had to homeschool her kids was lauded netizens. Some even said that they hoped they had that kind of childhood while others said that they can relate to this kind of situation. She knows that different ways can be used for a child’s learning and this setup works for them.
Behind the positive comments that she received, “Karens” had opposing reactions. “Them Karen’s be saying they feel bad for my children because they don’t get to learn in school. Best believe these nuggets will grow up being kind & happy AND whatever else their heart desires,” she said to the bashers.
Then, Andi shared a screenshot of a negative comment but she covered the username. “Mas ok sa school talaga yong naka uniform kasama mga classmates nag ponytails hair at clif hinatid sundo sa school,” the netizen said.
Andi Eigenmann’s reaction was that a school uniform could not be so impactful in their kids’ lives and that they could a hairclip if they wanted to but surely, they would know how to write the word properly.
“Not sure if my children will be legitimately miserable if they don’t get to experience wearing a school uniform. But don’t worry, in our homeschool, they not only get to wear their hair in a ponytail and a clip if they would like, they will also learn to spell the word CLIP correctly,” Andi Eigenman stressed.
