PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rain over most parts of the country.
On Monday (December 16, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Adlczar D. Aurelio reported that shear line, amihan, and ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains over most parts of the country.
“Sa susunod na tatlong araw patuloy na makakaapekto ang northeast monsoon sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon, samanatala, ang shearline ay makakaapekto pa rin sa silangang bahagi ng Northern Luzon and ITCZ ay maapektuhan ang Mindanao at Visayas,” Aurelio said.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Over the eastern section of Southern Luzon particularly Quezon, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, and Bicol Region.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and the rest of Luzon.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rains or thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, Davao Region, and the rest of Mindanao.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the rest of Visayas.
The weather agency has warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon will be rough. The rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate waters.
Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather bureau also raised a gale warning over Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
