This is what Julia Barretto said about her past issues.
ABS-CBN actress Julia Barretto has this to say when it comes to the past issues and controversies in her career.
Due to the fame and public life of a celebrity, issues and controversies always come with it. They are the ones who always receive constant public scrutiny, given unrealistic expectations, high pressure because of their career, publicized split, and others, and all of these are because of their fame.
Celebrities’ lives are constantly in the public eye which creates an environment where their struggles and mistakes are highlighted more than the quality projects and entertainment they serve.
In previous years, actress Julia Barretto has been under intense criticism due to her involvement in the split of Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson. She was accused as the third party that led to their breakup but several times before, they’ve clarified that she was not the third party.
However, the poor judgment about her values and character left a mark that was fueled when years after, she and Anderson publicized their relationship.
Having gone through a lot in the past, how did she manage to overcome everything?
During a media conference for her upcoming entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival, Hold Me Close, with Carlo Aquino, she spoke. According to her, those challenging times brought her a lot of lessons in most aspects of her life.
For her, the challenges like controversies don’t define someone. She believes that what defines someone is what kind of person one becomes out of it and the improvement. Despite the challenges, she chose to move forward and continue her passion.
“I love what I do so much and it’s giving me an outlet and an escape and it’s really a form of expressing, releasing, and it’s an unexplainable feeling when we stepped on the set. So I guess ‘yung ibang mga bagay, kailangan magpakatatag. You really have to pick up the lesson in every challenge actually, there’s something to learn from it,” she said.
To those who are experiencing what she has experienced, there’s one thing she said: “I’m just going to keep it short.”
She reiterated that what defines someone’s heart is not the challenges but how one rose above them.
