BAR Examination Results 2024 – The Supreme Court of the Philippines has released a YouTube live stream link for the announcement of the results.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario Lopez stated that the BAR Examination Results 2024 will be released around 12:00 noon on Friday, December 13, 2024. The results will be displayed at the Courtyard of the Supreme Court Main Building, located on Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila, and will also be streamed live.
The YouTube live stream for the 2024 Bar Exam results will begin at 12:00 noon today.
The Supreme Court (SC) emphasized that under the Data Privacy Act, Bar exam scores are considered sensitive personal information. Therefore, they cannot be disclosed without the prior consent of the examinees.

While the SC prohibits the release of individual scores without consent, it allows law schools to request anonymized data to review and improve their programs. Such requests must meet the following criteria:
- Must be signed by the dean or an equivalent official.
- Should state a legitimate purpose, such as enhancing future Bar exam performance or assessing law school curricula.
The permissible data includes: - Numbers or percentages of graduates by type (new takers, repeaters, or refreshers).
- Average scores in each Bar subject.
- Overall general weighted average for schools with multiple examinees.
Anonymized individual scores may also be provided, as long as all personal identifiers are removed.
The names of Bar passers, including the topnotchers and their scores, will be displayed publicly at the SC compound, as has been the practice in previous years. The SC clarified that these results will be announced in the same manner as before, ensuring transparency and tradition.
Supreme Court’s Discretion
Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo clarified that while law schools can only access combined or anonymized data, the SC retains the authority to disclose individual Bar exam results during public announcements.
Bar Passers’ Oath-Taking
Successful Bar exam takers are scheduled to take their oath on January 24, 2025. The SC aims to uphold the principles of the Data Privacy Act while maintaining long-standing traditions in the Bar exam process.
