Female Content Creator Shares Heartwarming Story of Prize-Winning Woman
A female content creator went viral online after sharing the story of a woman who won numerous prizes at a scholars’ gathering.
Recently, Faye Ramirez, a Facebook user, shared the story of a woman who won multiple prizes during a scholars’ gathering in Quezon City. The post garnered various reactions from the internet users.
Last Sunday (December 8, 2024), Ramirez attended a scholars’ gathering in Quezon City for the first time. The event seemed like a typical gathering with games and raffles. However, she witnessed something truly special through a woman named Zarah.
Zarah, initially appearing quiet, surprised everyone by winning multiple prizes including P2,000 in games, P10,000 in a raffle, and an additional P5,000 pesos in another draw. Instead of keeping all her winnings, she chose to give away the extra P5,000, believing someone else might need it more.
Later, Faye and Zarah shared a taxi ride, and that’s when Faye got to know her better. It turns out Zarah is a lawyer, and she shared a sweet story about her dad. Recently, she had bought him a Hugo Boss shirt, something her dad had always admired but never got for himself.
The shirt cost P12,500, and Zarah admitted she bought it even though it was pricey because it was her way of giving back to her dad. Winning the raffle felt like a little nudge from above, reminding her how blessings come at the right time.

Zarah explained why she gave away the P5,000. She only needed P12,500 for the shirt, and her earlier winnings covered it.
Here is the full post:
“Last Sunday, I was in Quezon City to attend our scholars’ gathering. It was my first time, even though it’s an annual event.
Truth be told, I didn’t know anyone there. I was just praying that I’d get through the night just fine
When I arrived, I decided to just observe. I was a bit excited, though, because aside from the 2K prize for the games, there was a 50K raffle. And with only about 30+ attendees, the chances of winning were high!
There was this girl named Zarah—very demure but also full of energy when needed. She won 2K in the games and another 10K in the raffle. And let me tell you, she was so happy! Among all the winners, her joy was the most genuine I’d ever seen.
During the exchange gift, our host added an extra 5K to the pool. And guess what? Ate Zarah won that too!
I was so surprised when she said, “Ibigay nalang po natin sa iba.”
I mean, 5K is a big amount, but I couldn’t help but wonder why she gave it away when it was rightfully hers.
On our way home, I decided to strike up a conversation with her. At least I’d leave the event with one acquaintance. I asked, “Ate, can I tag along in your Grab? I’ll just get dropped off at Ateneo.”
She agreed, but I ended up booking the ride first, so she tagged along with me instead.
We talked about life—how we became scholars, what college was like, and what we’re busy with these days.
Turns out, Ate Zarah is a lawyer. At one point, she shared a fond memory with her dad.
“When I was a new lawyer, Papa would always drive me to work. One day, he noticed some people wearing clothes with the brand BOSS. He told me that someday, he’d love to wear that brand.”
“Uy, Hugo Boss?” I asked.
“Yes, I think that’s it. Is it expensive?”
“Yes, Ate, it’s quite pricey. I saw my former boss wearing it, and he was quite well-off.”
“Yesterday, I saw one in Greenbelt for ₱12,500. I bought it with my eyes closed because I wanted to give it to Papa as a gift. Then today, I won 2K in the games and 10K in the raffle. I almost cried, realizing how God truly provides.” she said sweetly.
“Is that why you gave up the 5K, Ate?”
“Yes, because I don’t need much. I only needed 12.5K, and I already had 12K. Somebody else might need it more.”
I was teary-eyed listening to her. By then, we were already in the taxi. She handed me ₱500 as her share of the fare.
“Ate, take this ₱500 back to complete your 12.5K. I’ll handle the taxi fare.”
“That’s already part of my budget for coming here, Faye. Please accept it.”
I don’t know when I’ll see Ate Zarah again, but in that almost hour-long taxi ride from QC to Makati, she truly blessed me with her life.
Lessons I learned:
- God truly provides. Sometimes we don’t know when or how, but if it’s aligned with His will, He will always make a way.
- Take only what you need. We’re never at a loss when we share what’s extra with others.
- Never forget those who supported you at the beginning. Success is sweeter when you honor the people who stood by you during the early days.
- Be genuinely happy with your blessings. Whether big or small, gratitude is the key to a fulfilled life.
Thank you, Ate Zarah, for your good heart! Until we meet again! ”
