Pres. Bongbong Marcos recently had a “scheduled fellowship” with some House members. According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the said fellowship was scheduled “some time ago” and only “close in coverage” was allowed at the event.

The PCO did not reveal details regarding the purpose or agenda of the fellowship. There were speculations that the Chief Executive may have held a private meeting with the members of the lower chamber over the impeachment complaints against Vice Pres. Duterte.

The House recently issued a manifesto expressed their full support to Marcos Jr. and their commitment to extend their mandate to fight “any attempts to destabilize the government and undermine the Chief Executive’s leadership”. House Speaker Martin Romualdez was the one who delivered the message to Marcos Jr.

According to House good government and public accountability chairperson Joel Chua, after Pres. Bongbong Marcos gave his speech, they had a few picture taking sessions and then they had a dinner. Based on the report, the Chief Executive thanked the members of the lower chamber and encouraged them to keep on working.

More than 200 members of the House of Representatives visited Pres. Bongbong Marcos in Malacañang for the “scheduled fellowship” with him. Reportedly, the event ended at around 8pm.

Amid the issue involving the Vice President and her tirades against the President his family, Pres. Bongbong Marcos does not agree with an impeachment plan against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. His sister, Senator Imee Marcos, shares the same stand.
