Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Reacts To Accusation of Political Ambition
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President turned down the claim that she wants to be a president saying 2022 presidency was allegedly hers already.
It is no secret to the public that the BBM-Sara tandem that millions of Filipinos has supported has turned into a sour relationship early this year. Since she resigned from being the education secretary, Vice Pres. Duterte has thrown several tirades against Pres. Marcos.
Vice Pres. Duterte has accused Pres. Marcos of allegedly not knowing how to be a president. According to her, she has never heard the Chief Executive discussing about a solution to a problem in the country.
Duterte also gave Marcos Jr. a “one” as a rating in a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, with regards to his performance as president. She also agreed on the claim of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte that the Philippines is allegedly running on a “fractured governance”.
Recently, the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI issued a subpoena for Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. It was over her remarks that seemingly sparked threats on the lives of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Recently, Zambales 1st District Representative Jefferson ”Jay” Khonghun claimed that the political ambition of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is allegedly the cause of the political conflict in the country. Based on a report on GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte spoke in contrary to the claim of the House member.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, the 2022 presidency was allegedly hers already but she decided to gave it away for other plans. Based on the report, she claimed that she already won the surveys and the Filipinos are united for her candidacy.
”The presidency of 2022 was mine already. Nanalo na ako sa surveys, lahat ng tao solid na, united na for my candidacy. Pero I gave it away because I felt I had to do some other things other than being president of the Republic of the Philippines,” the Vice President said.
Now Vice Pres. Sara Duterte initially filed for mayor of Davao City. Later on, she decided to withdraw her candidacy and run for the vice presidency as the running mate of now Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The BBM-Sara hooked millions of supporters across the nation under the platform of “unity”.
However, this year, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that she was on a “mistaken belief” of the platform of unity and continuity. Duterte also claimed that she will “never again” team up with the Marcoses.
