PAGASA Says Amihan and ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that amihan and ITCZ will bring rain over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (November 27, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that the amihan and ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with rains over the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Batanes, the northern portion of Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte will be rough to very rough, according to PAGASA.
