Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently reiterated his allegation linking Pres. Bongbong Marcos to drug use. He asked the military if they will continue to serve this alleged kind of chief executive.

Amid the BBM-Sara issue, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte also called on the military to protect the Constitution. According to the former Chief Executive, allegedly, “nobody can correct Marcos” and no one can correct House Speaker Martin Romualdez as well.

Duterte claimed that the Philippines is allegedly running on a “fractured governance” now under the Marcos administration. The said claim is seconded by his daughter, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, who also backed her father’s “drug” claim against the President.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos has been refusing to undergo drug test. Previously, the Vice President said that she is willing to undergo any kind of test to prove her mental stability as long as those who work in the Office of the President, the OVP, the Senate, and the Congress will do the same.

Recently, the Department of Justice has spoken on the recent statements of the Dutertes. Based on a report on GMA News, the DOJ confirmed that they will investigate the call of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to the military.

“For him to invite the military to have a part in seeking remedy is bordering on sedition and is legally actionable,” DOJ Undersecretary Jesse Hermogenes Andres said.

According to Andres, they will look at every angle. Based on the report, the DOJ also assured to investigate the other matters like the threat issued by Vice Pres. Duterte against Pres. Marcos.

The Justice Department assured that the government is ready whatever may happen. According to Andres, the Armed Forces of the Philippines “is loyal to the chain of command”.

The National Bureau of Investigation or NBI has earlier issued a subpoena for Vice Pres. Sara Duterte over her remark against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The Vice President is requested to appear on Friday at the NBI headquarters.
