Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte Makes Accusations vs. Pres. Marcos Anew
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President called on the whole military to protect the Constitution saying that President Bongbong Marcos allegedly cannot be corrected.
The Marcos-Duterte issue currently sparks countless headlines. Undeniably, the BBM-Sara supporters are divided amid the tension between the two (2) political families. Visibly, the Dutertes have not stepped back in throwing tirades against the Marcoses.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has accused Pres. Bongbong Marcos of allegedly not knowing how to be a president. She even gave him “one” as rating in a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest when asked to rate his performance.
Duterte also recently claimed that the Marcoses are allegedly behind the death of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino. To recall, the Marcoses and the Aquinos are political rivals but the feud has silenced in the recent several years.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also recently aired her “final wish” which seemingly ignited threats on the lives of Pres. Bongbong Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos as well as House Speaker Martin Romualdez. The National Bureau of Investigation or NBI has issued a subpoena against Duterte over her threat against Marcos.
The investigation bureau wants Vice Pres. Duterte to explain her statement against the Marcoses. Amid the issue, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte expressed his confidence that Inday Sara can handle the issue.
The former President spoke accusations against Pres. Marcos Jr. Based on a report on GMA News, he claimed that Marcos Jr. is allegedly running a “fractured government”. He also accused the Chief Executive of drug use.
Based on the report, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte also called on the military to protect the Constitution. According to him, nobody can allegedly correct Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
“Nobody can correct Marcos, nobody can correct Romualdez… There is no urgent remedy… It is only the military who can correct it. I challenge the whole military kasi they’re supposed to be the protector of the constitution,” the former President said.
Previously, a legal expert said that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte can face disbarment over her remarks against the Marcoses. The former president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) stressed that only the president is immune from charges.
