A GMA Executive was asked about the status of It’s Showtime in the Kapuso network

Rumor has it that It’s Showtime will no longer air on GMA and here is what a Kapuso executive said about this.

Speculations that the Kapamilya noontime show is just until December 2024 on GMA-7 started circulating these recent months. ABS-CBN and GMA were silent about this, including the hosts of Showtime.

Just recently, it was also rumored that Kapuso morning variety show TiktoClock will take the noontime slot after Showtime will allegedly end its contract with GMA.

In a recent PEP article, entertainment writer Gorgy Rula shared that the rumor that TiktoClock will replace It’s Showtime, have been around for quite a while and they already asked some people working in the Kapuso morning variety show.

Rula said that some would say that they nothing about this while they were told by some to just ask the bosses to get the right answer.

The writer said that they sent a Viber message to GMA senior vice-president Annette Gozon-Valdes about this. The TV executive said, “We are in the process of negotiations now for the renewal of Showtime.”

When asked if there is a big possibility the show led by Unkabogable Star will remain in the Kapuso network, Gozon-Valdes said, “I do not know who released this info since we are still currently negotiating nga for Showtime’s renewal.

Entertainment writer Noel Ferrer shared that there are a lot of stories that surfaced regarding this matter. He shared that there were speculations that the Kapamilya noontime show has a big debt to GMA-7 but they haven’t receive any answer about this issue.

It was also alleged that TAPE Inc. is negotiating with GMA to take over the noontime slot. However, TAPE Inc. CEO Ms. Malou Choa-Fagar refused to answer this rumor. Ferrer also shared that some people from TAPE said that did not hear anything about the rumored negotiation.
