Kapuso Star Jasmine Curtis-Smith Speaks on John Lloyd Cruz
JASMINE CURTIS-SMITH – The Kapuso actress was asked how John Lloyd Cruz is as a producer being one of the producers of “Moneyslapper”.
In the Philippine showbiz industry, John Lloyd is undeniably one of the most brilliant actors. He is one of the most versatile actors who can be paired with many different actresses and have chemistry with them — although there is no denying to the truth that her loveteam with Bea Alonzo is different.
Bea and John Lloyd starred the all-time favorite Pinoy romantic movie One More Chance. He has also worked with several other actresses including Jennylyn Mercado, Sarah Geronimo, and Toni Gonzaga.
Recently, John Lloyd Cruz worked with Kapuso star Jasmine Curtis-Smith in the film Moneyslapper. It is one of the movies that are part of the QCinema International Film Festival and he is also one of the producers of the movie.
In an interview with Pep, Jasmine Curtis-Smith was asked how John Lloyd Cruz is as a producer. The Kapuso actress admitted that she did not feel him and it is possibly his intention to be really like that as a producer.
“Actually, hindi ko masyadong naramdaman, e. Maybe he kept it na wala sa set? Yung ganung producer hat niya,” the actress said.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith also shared an insight she got that when you want to do a certain film, why not you do it or produce it. Based on the article, the Kapuso actress stressed that considering the length of time that John Lloyd Cruz dedicated in the industry, he probably really knows now what he wants so he left the spotlight “at this stage of his career”.
John Lloyd has not fully returned to his showbiz career since he went on an indefinite leave from work and had a son with actress Ellen Adarna. Their son, Elias Modesto, is also close to actor Derek Ramsay who is now his stepfather. Derek Ramsay previously said he will never disrespect John Lloyd Cruz.
