Miss Universe 2024 – South Africa Withdraw Due To This Reason

This is the reason why Miss South Africa withdrew from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.

Mia Le Roux of South Africa is withdrawing from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant a couple of days before the coronation night.

The 73rd Miss Universe pageant is now all set to crown one new queen from the 130 delegates from across the world. The new queen will be crowned by Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios, the reigning queen.

The preliminary competition took place on November 14 (the 15th in the Philippines) where the delegates showcased their national costumes and swimsuits.

This year’s Miss Universe coronation will air and stream live on several ABS-CBN platforms, including A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC beginning at 9 AM on November 17.

However, a couple of days ahead of the coronation night, Mia Le Roux of South Africa decided to withdraw from the competition.

About South Africa’s withdrawal

Accordingly, the withdrawal from the competition is due to health concerns. Miss South Africa organization expressed through their Instagram page, “It is with deep regret that we share the news that Mia Le Roux, Miss South Africa 2024, has had to withdraw from the Miss Universe competition due to health concerns.”

Le Roux expressed her gratitude for the support she received in this journey. She added that it was a difficult decision to make since hopes and dreams were placed on her but she had to do a more important thing which is to focus on her health and recovery to serve her country with full strength.

The organization praised Le Roux for her “incredible courage and grace throughout this difficult period” but her health and well-being are the topmost priority.
