Heart Evangelista Breaks Silence on Her Former Glam Team
HEART EVANGELISTA – Is Heart Evangelista finally prepared to reveal the real story behind her fallout with her former glam team?
Heart Evangelista recently made waves with her candid discussion about the importance of being selective with one’s inner circle, especially in an industry rife with shifting relationships and personal challenges. Known as a “Global Icon,” Heart shared the heartache behind her fallout with her former glam team members—Justin Soriano, her makeup artist, and Jeck Aguilar, her hair stylist.
This fallout, which has now lasted for a year, left her grappling with emotions that she’s ready to discuss on her new reality series, Heart World.
In a teaser for the upcoming episode airing on November 16, Heart opens up about how the implosion of her once-tight-knit team profoundly affected her inner joy. “Mahal na mahal ko sila. Kala ko, mahal nila ako,” she laments, reflecting on the devastation of feeling betrayed by those she trusted.
During a media conference in October, Heart didn’t shy away from discussing the painful lessons learned from her experiences. She introduced the term “emotional terrorists” to describe people who exploit others’ trust for their own benefit. “For me, in a nutshell, I can consider myself medyo beterana na rin ako sa industriya. I’ve been here for almost, what, 27 years. That’s a long time for me and I’ve been through a lot,” she said, emphasizing the need for vigilance and self-protection. “You have to be careful who you trust and who you freely give your heart to.”
This lesson, she clarified, is not only for her own protection but also for those closest to her. Reflecting on the toll that misplaced trust had on her family, she expressed remorse. “If there’s anything I regret, it’s that I put everybody at risk… because I allowed certain people. Beware of emotional terrorists; they do exist.”
Heart’s experience resonates beyond the entertainment world, offering a reminder of the importance of boundaries, caution, and the value of nurturing healthy relationships. As her former team members now work with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Heart wished her well in her journey. “Congratulations! You have what you needed… I wish you nothing but the best and good luck. Sana, sana hindi mangyari sa ‘yo ‘yung nangyari sa akin,” she said, a warning underscoring the wisdom earned through painful experience.
