David Chua talked about getting close to Shaina Magdayao
Actor-director David Chua shared about the closeness that he has now with Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao.
Shaina is one of the prized talents of the Kapamilya network. She started her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. From being a child star, she became known as one of the most prominent actresses of her generation.
One of the projects that Shaina did this year was with David, the sitcom Good Will. However, they started being friends when the actor-director was still in the Kapamilya network.
They first met each other more than a decade ago and the actor-director shared about this in a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH.
”Na-meet ko si Shaina, I think way, way back in 2010 sa Star Magic. Same kami ng management before sa ABS-CBN. Nakatrabaho ko siya, 2012 sa teleseryeng Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo, with Jake Cuenca and Bangs Garcia,” David Chua shared.
Then, they worked together in the 2015 TV series Nathaniel with Gerald Anderson. David shared that he thought the actress was “suplada” but it was the opposite. It was because, for him, Shaina had that “sosyal” look but when people need to know her more, she is a jolly person.
The actor-director also shared that he learned that it is easy to make Shaina laugh and she is easy to be with. He also said that he thought that the actress is really snubby but he was wrong about this.
“This year, we’re back together in Net25 sa Good Will. So ang haba na ng pagkakaibigan namin. More than one decade na kami magkakilala. Pero ngayon lang kami naging mas magkaibigan,” David Chua shared.
David shared an Instagram post just recently dedicated to greeting Shaina for her birthday. The actor-director also shared that behind the camera, he and Shaina got closer. This was because of their common friend Rhiza Pascual who helped him get his latest leading lady.
David Chua shared that he and Shaina Magdayao had the chance to be together at a Coldplay concert and that was the time they really had a conversation. Through that, he was able to convince Shaina to be his latest leading lady.
