Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s Lawyer Speaks on Health Condition of the KOJC Leader
Apollo Quiboloy’s lawyer, Israelito Torreon, said that the Pastor’s irregular heartbeat is “not life threatening”.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) search operations in the pursuit to arrest Pastor Quiboloy over a month ago hooked national attention. The Pastor who is the founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ was in hiding for several months amid multiple charges filed against him.
The intensified search operations of the PNP reportedly included drilling operations inside the KOJC compound in Davao City. The authorities believed in the heartbeat that was detected by their radar and they allegedly dug in the belief that the Pastor may be hiding in a bunker.
Following the arrest of the Pastor, he has no choice but to attend the hearings that the Court allows his attendance. Senator Risa Hontiveros said that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who claims that he is the “appointed son of god” is now the “arrested son of god”.
Pastor Quiboloy is currently detained in the PNP Custodial Facility in Camp Crame. Recently, Apollo Quiboloy was brought to the hospital due to “irregular heartbeat” and chest discomfort.
The Philippine National Police said that Quiboloy was brought to the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City. It was last week when the Pastor was brought to the hospital after he complained of chest discomfort.
Recently, Apollo Quiboloy’s lawyer, Israelito Torreon, spoke on the Pastor’s health condition. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the lawyer stressed that the Pastor having irregular heartbeat is “not life threatening”.
According to Apollo Quiboloy’s lawyer, the Pastor used to play basketball and he suddenly became sedentary which may have an effect on his physical constitution. Based on the report, the Pastor also developed cough.
“He also developed cough, inuubo siya and this is probably because of the poor ventilation in his detention cell. And ‘yung CR niya, de-buhos pa e,” Torreon said.
The lawyer stressed that Pastor Quiboloy is now 70 years old and he finds it challenging to clean his own toilet. Based on the report, the camp of the Pastor has requested the PNP to allow some gadgets that could improve the ventilation inside his detention cell.
In the upcoming 2025 Elections, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy will run as an independent candidate for senator. His senatorial bid gained different reactions from the people.
