Here’s an update about Typhoon Nika from PAGASA.
TYPHOON NIKA UPDATE – The typhoon has an international name Toraji and here’s the latest about this from PAGASA.
Thousands were affected as the fourth typhoon in a month hit the Philippines. Nika has intensified into a typhoon bringing strong winds and heavy rain to several areas in the country.
Recently, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released an update regarding the typhoon and accordingly, it continues to move over the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The center was in the vicinity of Besao, Mountain Province. It has a maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 200 km/h. It is heading in west-northwestward direction at 25 km/h.
In the update, the highest hoisted was Signal No. 4 and these are the areas affected:
Signal No. 1 (Minimal to minor threat to life and property)

- Babuyan Islands, the rest of mainland Cagayan, the rest of Pangasinan, the rest of Aurora, the rest of Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, the northern and central portions of Zambales (Santa Cruz, Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, Iba, Botolan, Cabangan, San Marcelino, San Felipe, San Narciso), the northeastern portion of Quezon (General Nakar) including Pollilo Islands
Signal No. 2 (Minor to moderate threat to life and property)

Previously, several places announced Walang Pasok on November 11 due to the Severe Tropical Storm Nika which is now a typhoon.
