Pokwang Bursts Into Tears After Losing P85k on Gcash

GCASH ISSUE – The Pinay Comedian and TV host Pokwang breaks down after realizing that P85,000 had been stolen.

On her Instagram post, the Filipina celebrity expressed her frustration as the money she worked hard for was taken without warning. Her post immediately spread online and garnered various reactions from netizens.

Earlier, Pokwang revealed that her P14,000 had been mysteriously withdrawn from her account. She noted that no OTP (One-Time Password) was sent, and she received no prior warnings.

Given how easily the account was accessed, she suspected that it might have been an inside job. She wasn’t alone in this experience, as hundreds of other users reported similar issues on the same day.

The 54-year-old actress immediately reported the incident through the app and mentioned that she would try calling the helpdesk later.

However, she expressed how the situation had left her shaken and stressed. As a single mother, she explained that she’s the only one her children rely on, and this financial loss was especially hard to bear.

The comedian expressed gratitude to her kind-hearted friends who lent her money during this difficult time, including fellow celebrity Ogie Diaz.

She shared the pain of losing what she earned through honest work, especially when her account was suddenly drained by unauthorized transactions. With various unregistered numbers involved in the withdrawals, Pokwang questioned GCash’s security policies, especially concerning registered SIM cards.

Her plea to GCash to assist people like her, who work hard to make a living and help others, emphasizes the growing concern over digital wallet security in the Philippines.
