Vice Ganda On Ion Perez’s Decision To Withdraw Candidacy

Here’s what Vice Ganda said about Ion Perez’s candidacy withdrawal.

Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda has this to say about the withdrawal of Ion Perez who previously filed to run for councilor.

Its Showtime host Ion Perez filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) previously for councilor of Concepcion, Tarlac last October. He was among the celebrities who will try his luck in public service but before this year ended, he decided to step back.

Based on a previous article, Ion decided to withdraw as he wanted to improve himself first before being in the real thing in order not to fail the people. He apologized to those who hoped for him and, at the same time, was thankful to those who supported him.

“Dahil gusto ko po munang ihanda and sarili ko para hindi mapahiya sa inyo at mapaglingkuran kayo ng tama,” he expressed.

Recently, his partner Vice Ganda was asked about this and the superstar spoke about Perez’s decision. The comedian was asked if he somehow had a word with him to make him realize something but according to him, their dynamics are not about telling each other what to do and deciding for each other.

What they do is talk to each other and be open to new perspectives before making a final decision. As for Ion’s decision, it was not a decision he made for him. It was his decision and he trusts him on that.

Vice has known him as someone who’s always been on public service and he was not surprised at all when he decided to eventually give it a push. On the other hand, he was also not surprised when he backed out as he has known him as someone who would never want to waste the love and support of the people.

“Mabuti kasi puso ng asawa ko. Hindi siya mag-aaksaya ng pagmamahal at tiwala at suporta sa kanya ng mga tao,” Vice said based on the video adding that Ion want to prepare first before actually doing it.
