Piolo Pascual shared his experience working with Coco Martin
A-list actor Piolo Pascual revealed that he became a fan of actor-director Coco Martin because of this.
Piolo has been in the entertainment industry for two decades already. Over the years, he has done different acting projects that proved his caliber as an actor. With what he has done as an actor, he gained a huge fandom that continues to support his projects.
However, even though he is now one of the A-list stars in the Philippine entertainment industry, he also admires other artists.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Piolo Pascual shared what it was like working with Coco Martin. The Batang Quiapo lead star did a directorial stint in Piolo’s sereis Pamilya Sagrado.
Piolo said that Coco did not waste time and he really worked immediately. “Diretso siya. Nandu’n agad siya. Nagdidirek agad siya, nu’ng dumating ako hanggang matapos ‘yung show. Ibang klase, ibang klase ‘yung professionalism ni Coco,” he said.
Because of this, Piolo became a fan of Coco. “I became a fan, as an actor to a director, because nakita mo talaga na inaral niya ‘yung script before coming, before doing the scenes and nakipag-meeting siya,” the A-list actor said.
Piolo also shared that Coco did a pre-production and he felt happy to be directed by the latter who is also in his prime.
The A-list star also said that this chance to work with Coco is really good since he has not been in his shows before. For Piolo, this could lead to more collaborations.
When asked if Coco Martin inspired him to venture into directing as well, Piolo Pascual said that he loves producing and the process but he said honestly that he does not see any skill in him fit to be a director.
He added that this is something that does not catch his interest because of the whole process. Piolo pointed out that actors give so much time to their crafts and for him, being a director will require more.
