Pres. Bongbong Marcos Hopes Undas 2024 will Better Filipinos’ Spiritual Lives

BONGBONG MARCOS – The President gave a message for the Filipinos this “Undas 2024” expressing his hope for better spiritual lives.

The Philippines is one of the countries with a very significant celebration of the All Saints’ Day and the All Souls’ Day. These are among holidays in the Philippines this 2024 and every year. Classes in schools are suspended during these days and the government and several companies in the private sector also pause on work.

Today, countless Filipinos are out to visit their deceased loved ones’ grave and tombs in the cemetery. Most Filipinos spend time in prayers and lighting candles for their deceased family and friends.

It is also part of the routine of many Filipinos to offer some food along with lighted candles at home in the belief that the spirits of their deceased loved ones visit their homes on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day celebration.

On this year’s Undas celebration, Pres. Bongbong Marcos said that the event is an “opportune moment to fortify our bond for the betterment of our spiritual life, not only with the divine but also with one another”.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos encourage the Filipinos to spend time with family and friends in visiting, offer prayers, and express thanks for the impact of their lives.

“Let us spend this time with our families and loved ones to visit their resting places, offer our heartfelt prayers for them, and express deep gratitude for their impact on our lives,” the President said.

Furthermore, Marcos also expressed his hope that the Undas 2024 will help us all to become better persons, better Filipinos, and better stewards of our country. On Undas celebration, the Chief Executive is expected to visit the grave of his beloved father, the late former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., who is buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Today, countless people flocked at the Libingan ng mga Bayani to visit the grave of the former President. Countless people also visited the grave of the late former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. at the Manila Memorial Cemetery.
