KATHRYN BERNARDO – The Kapamilya superstar spoke about her past relationship with Daniel Padilla which lasted for 11 years.
KathNiel was once one of the biggest love teams in the Philippines. The on-screen romance became real in real life and what started as a young love lasted for 11 years. There was growth, maturity, and success in the relationship but unfortunately, it all ended after 11 years. It was a long time but it ended which broke many hearts.
Last year, KathNiel split in real life was confirmed. Both Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla released their statements as they closed the chapter. In a post, the actress wrote, “We’ve been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can’t go back to where we used to be.”
Recently, almost a year after confirming the split, Bernardo spoke about what happened between her and Padilla. In an interview with Boy Abunda in his Kapuso show, she shared that it was just her one relationship that lasted for 11 years and she learned a lot from those years.
She learned about growth, being unselfish, gratitude, dreams, and all. She grew in 11 years and after the split, she learned more, and this time, about herself.
“That moment in my life tested my faith so much and feeling ko sobra akong na-guide dun,” she expressed.
When asked what she would like to tell her young self before the relationship happened, she said nothing. She chose not to say anything about her young self as she would not want to preempt everything.
She wants the young Kathryn to experience it all as it was 11 beautiful years. What she is now, a big part of it came from those years.
Kathryn said based on the video, “Nothing. I don’t regret anything, ayoko siyang pangunahan. I want you to experience all the happiness. Alam ko maraming mag-question nun but it was 11 beautiful years, and kung ano yun nakikita niyo ngayon, ang laki nung part ng 11 years na yun.”
