According to Jeñaca, the traveler knocked on her door, initially appearing to be a potential customer at her clothing store. However, he instead asked to sell his own clothes for a small amount, around P70 for four pieces.
Curious, Bargamento inquired about his situation, and he shared that he was scammed twice. First, he reportedly made a down payment on a condominium, but after paying, the realtor disappeared, leaving him without his investment.
Currently, with limited cash and relying on his credit card just to buy food, he found himself struggling.
Although Jeñaca wanted to offer him more help, she lost track of him after he left. Still, she felt compelled to share his story online to encourage others to lend a hand. Many netizens responded, sympathizing with the foreign traveler’s situation and expressing disappointment toward those who scammed him.
