Pia Wurtzbach To Auction Off Her Pageant Items, Here’s Why

Pia Wurtzbach is set to let go of some of the items that became part of her pageant journey

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will auction off some of her pageant items and this is the reason behind this.

Pia brought pride to the country in the field of pageantry when she won the third Miss Universe crown for the Philippines. After a long time, the country was able to hold that prestigious beauty pageant title and pageant fans celebrated this achievement.

Pia’s pageant journey inspired a lot of aspiring beauty queens. It is because she never gave up on her dream. She joined Binibining Pilipinas three times and on her third try, she got the chance to be the country’s representative in the Miss Universe pageant.

More than her achievement in the national pageant, Pia Wurtzbach brought home the crown and reigned as the Miss Universe 2015.

In a recent Instagram post, Pia shared photos of some of the items that became part of her pageant journey. However, she is set to put them to auction. These items include her gray dress during the Miss Universe 2015 pageant when she was included in Top 15, her sashes from Binibining Pilipinas until the Miss Universe pageant, and her personal notebooks in which she wrote important notes while she was competing as candidate number 15.

We’re just a little over a month away from the Love Gala! Sharing some pieces we’re auctioning…do you remember these?” she wrote in the caption of her post. Pia intended to do this to help an HIV advocacy group, based on the article in PEP. She has been supporting this advocacy.

Many netizens commended Pia Wurtzbach for her charitable endeavor but there were those who asked her if these items were not important to her as she is choosing to them go.

She explained that these things are important for her and they became a big part of her pageant journey. However, Pia stressed that she has a plan of “turning them into something more memorable and lasting.” For her, it is also a good way to give back to the community.
