In an Instagram post, Simon Cowell expressed his heartfelt note over Liam Payne’s passing.
SIMON COWELL – The former “The X Factor” judge is ‘heartbroken, empty’ as he remembered Liam Payne’s life and death in a post.
The one who signed One Direction to his company Syco Entertainment was Simon Cowell and the boy band has achieved global fame. However, in 2016, they decided to take a different route. They pursued solo careers and while they’re on the path of being big in the music industry, one member unfortunately passed away.
Liam Payne passed away at the age of 31. He fell from the third floor of his hotel in Argentina and he was dead on the spot. He sustained “extremely serious injuries” and the world is saddened by his passing. Based on the autopsy, Payne’s cause of death was multiple traumas and internal and external hemorrhage caused by the fall.
Other One Direction members expressed their sadness. Losing a brother has driven them to extreme devastation.
Recently, Simon Cowell also expressed his sadness over the passing of the artist, and in his Instagram post, he expressed how empty he felt after hearing the sad news. In his heartfelt tribute, he shared, “You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens.”
He was “truly devastated”, feeling empty, and “heartbroken”. He had so much love and respect for him, and that every he shed holds a memory of him. After learning of Liam’s death, he looked back on the time they spent together and described him as the person who was kind, funny, sweet, thoughtful, talented, humble, focused, and loved music.
He shared that they met last year to sit and talk and recalled how proud of a father he was to his son Bear. They reminisced about the fun times they had had and when he left, he realized he was still the same sweet, kind boy he met years ago.
When he passed away, he also realized Liam’s effect on people, especially when tributes started pouring in for him.
“Rest in peace my friend,” Cowell said as he sent his thoughts and prayers to Liam’s family and friends.
