Cristy Fermin “Talo” In Cyber Libel Case Filed By Sharon Cuneta, Kiko Pangilinan

Cristy Fermin shared this update about a cyber libel complaint against her

Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin said that she is “talo” in a cyber libel case filed by couple Megastar Sharon Cuneta and former Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

Sharon and Kiko went to the Makati City Prosecutors Office last May to formally file their complaint against Cristy for her alleged malicious statements. In a statement after filing their complaint, the couple said that things that Cristy said with malice affected their children.

The showbiz insider reacted in jest to this complaint filed by Sharon and Kiko. She jokingly said that the cyber libel cases filed against her were getting higher. It was because she is also facing the same cases filed by Sarah Lahbati’s parents and Bea Alonzo.

Previously, Cristy Fermin happily announced on her show that the case filed by Sarah’s parents had already been dismissed. However, the cyber libel complaint filed by Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan pushed through.

Based on the article in PEP, Cristy said in a recent episode of her show that she is “talo.” “Natalo po ako sa kasong libelo na isinampa nina Senator Kiko Pangilinan at Sharon Cuneta,” Cristy announced.

She explained that some of the episodes of her YouTube talk show Showbiz Now Na were “pinagtalunan sa piskalya.”

These episodes included these topics: “KC ayaw na ng drama, Mega may favoritism, palusot ni Sharon buking, Diary nina Sharon at Kris Aquino social media, Sharon Cuneta problemado talaga, at Sharon at KC sayang na relasyon.”

The showbiz insider shared that she became emotional when she received the resolution and saw the amount required for bail. She had to pay Php240,000. “Talo po ako sa five counts ng libel, at ang sabi nga natin, inflation is real. Kasi, hindi lamang po mga bilihin ang tumataas ngayon,” she said.

Cristy shared that back then, she would just pay Php10,000 for bail for one cyber libel case but now per case, she had to pay Php48,000. However, she said that is willing to file an appeal when this case would reach the Court of Appeals.

The veteran showbiz insider said that she will continue to fight. “Hindi ito ang katapusan ng mundo. Ang laban po ay di natin uurungan,” Cristy fermin said.
