Cristy Fermin received another cyber libel complaint
Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin reacted to the cyber libel case filed by Megastar Sharon Cuneta and former Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
This is the third cyber libel complaint that Cristy received this year. Back in March, the showbiz insider confirmed in her showbiz talk show that Esther Lahbati, the mother of actress Sarah Lahbati, filed a cyber libel case against her.
Then, on May 2, the showbiz world talked about the decision of Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo to file a cyber libel case against her and fellow showbiz insider Ogie Diaz.
On May 10, the third cyber libel case came. Sharon and Kiko filed a cyber libel case against Cristy. In an interview, the couple said that despite being public figures, they still have their personal rights.
In the recent episode of her radio show Cristy Ferminute, the veteran showbiz writer shared her thoughts on the third cyber libel complaint she received.
ABS-CBN entertainment writer MJ Felipe shared a clip. Cristy Fermin said that it seemed that the level keeps on rising. “Tumataas ang lebel ng demandahan ha. From Sarah Lahbati to Bea Alonzo, Sharon Cuneta na ang kasunod,” Cristy said.
Then, she quipped that maybe next time it would be Hollywood actress Julia Roberts who would file a complaint against her.
On the other hand, the showbiz insider said that she understands where the sentiments came from. She also said that she can’t make any comment yet regarding this issue because she hasn’t received a copy of the document containing the case filed against her.
She stressed that this is part of their job as “mamahayag.” Cristy also shared that she told her children that they should feel ashamed if she is being complained about stealing and human trafficking.
However, she said that the cyber libel complaint is not something that should make them ashamed.
