The filing of the candidacy for the 2025 Midterm Elections is over. Undeniably, there are candidacies that sparked several headlines and surprised the people. One of which is the bid of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for senator.
Pastor Quiboloy is faced with several complaints and was arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP) authorities early September. He was in hiding for several months prior to his arrest.
Reportedly, the PNP did an intensified search for the Pastor inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City. The search inside the KOJC compound supposedly included drilling operations.
The PNP authorities detected a human heartbeat underground which made them believe that there could be a bunker where Pastor Apollo Quiboloy may be hiding. According to the PNP, they gave an ultimatum to the Pastor.
The intensified search ops of the PNP for Quiboloy gained different reactions from the public. Vice President Sara Duterte apologized to the KOJC members for seeking support for Pres. Bongbong Marcos in 2022.
