Pres. Bongbong Marcos Explains Why VP Sara Duterte Not PH Caretaker

MARCOS – The President explained why he did not assign Vice President Sara Duterte as the caretaker of the Philippines while he’s away.

Recently, countless Filipinos were shocked with the Presidential Communications Office or the PCO. It announced that the caretaker of the Philippines while the President is away is not Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

The PCO announced that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is not the caretaker of the Philippines while Pres. Bongbong Marcos is away for the ASEAN or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit as the custodians are the following:

  • Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin
  • Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III
  • Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla

According to Presidential Communications Office acting Secretary Cesar Chavez, Bersamin chairs the executive committee of the caretakers of the country. The announcement brought a confusion among countless Filipinos.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos explained why Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was not the caretaker of the Philippines while he was away for the ASEAN Summit. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive said that it will be unfair on the part of the Vice President as it is out of her work anymore.

“She’s not part of the administration anymore. She’s still in government but she left the administration,” Marcos said.

Based on the report, the Chief Executive said that it was a “very practical” decision to picking the caretakers of the Philippines while he is away for the ASEAN Summit. He stressed that Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III, and Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla are all part of his Cabinet.

Vice Pres. Duterte previously spoke about the reasons for leaving the Marcos cabinet. She also claimed that she and the President are not friends. Marcos reacted on Duterte denying their friendship.

  1. true perhaps,the president has bn deceived while all the while thinking that the vice pres could remain sincere at his side all throughout their term.
    the filipino people are also seemingly deceived in believing a great strength in this tandem,hopeful of speedy progress .
