PAGASA Says Northeasterly Surface Windflow to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the northeasterly surface windflow will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (October 9, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeasterly surface windflow and the localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that fair weather will prevail over most of the country as no weather system is expected to affect the country.
“Ngayong araw, maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon na ating mararanasan, kung saan bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangitan, hindi lamang dito sa Luzon, gayundin sa Visayas at Mindanao,” Aurelio said.
The northeasterly surface windflow will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
“Bukod sa maganda at maaliwalas na panahon, may tyansa pa din ng mga isolated na mga pag-ulan o mga biglang pagbuhos ng ulan,” he added.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
A low pressure area spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility dissipated as of 2 a.m today.
A tropical depression outside PAR was located 2,755 km east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 70 kph.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions. No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboard, according to PAGASA.
