Herbert Bautista was asked if he has plans to run the 2025 elections
Actor-politician Herbert Bautista said that even though he is currently not in any government position, he continues doing public service.
Herbert is just one of the many showbiz personalities who ventured into politics. For many years, he handled local positions and in the 2022 elections, he tried his luck for the senatorial position. However, he did not succeed.
From that, Herbert returned to doing acting projects. The last project he did was the series The House Arrest of Us on ABS-CBN and Puto on TV5.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Herbert Bautista said that he is enjoying his break time now. He shared that people would ask him if he was not bored, and he would answer that he started his showbiz career at the age of 10 and eventually became a politician.
This is the reason why he is enjoying his rest. “So, I’m enjoying my sanity. I’m enjoying my rest period,” the actor-politician said.
When asked if he has a plan to run for the 2025 elections as the filing of the certificate of candidacy already started, Herbert had an indirect answer.
He said that the filing of COC will last for a week and within this period of time, a lot can happen. “Hintayin ko lang kasi malayo pa naman, e. A week from now, marami pang usap-usapan, so antayin natin,” he said.
When asked if he missed doing public service, Herbert Bautista said that he never stopped helping. “Hindi naman ako huminto. Oo, hindi naman ako huminto. Kapagka may nangangailangan, tumutulong tayo. Kapag merong sunog, tumutulong tayo,” he said.
It was said that people in Quezon City were missing him. He said, his “Bistek brand.” Herbert said that there is still nothing certain yet and that several days before the final day of filing of COC is still a long way.
