The controversial Filipino restaurant has addressed the issue surrounding one of their food servers, who was reportedly dismissed from work for feeding stray animals.
On Monday (September 30, 2024), the Facebook page Goto Tendon issued a statement following the growing concern about the incident that took place at their Scout Borromeo branch.
In their message, Goto Tendon expressed their sadness over the situation, acknowledging that the act of kindness shown by their staff member toward stray animals had touched many people.
The establishment assured the public that the matter is being taken seriously, and they are currently reviewing the actions taken by both their manpower provider and the employee’s direct employer, Bestoptions Assistance, Inc.
Goto Tendon further emphasized that their core values include empathy, kindness, and responsibility. While they support their employees’ personal passions, they also work hard to maintain policies and procedures that ensure a positive experience for their customers in all their branches.

The issue started after a TikTok user Vhal Sardia shared that his supervisor reported him for feeding stray animals, which eventually led to his dismissal from the job.
