Filipino-American transgender model Leyna Bloom’s post created a stir involving Pia Wurtzbach and her Paris Fashion Week stint milestone.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was reportedly the first Filipina to walk in L’Oreal’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week. The event is called “Le Défilé ‘Walk Your Worth” which was held in Place de l’Opéra in Paris, France last September 23.
This was a big milestone in her fashion career and was just in time for her 35th birthday.
She shared the runway with international stars such as Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, and Alia Bhatt. Pia walked L’Oreal’s catwalk with confidence and beauty and posed for the camera. She wore a black silk off-shoulder dress with pink floral puffy sleeves. Her hair was neat and clean in an updo highlighting her features.

In her post, the Fil-Am model recalled what happened three years ago. She claimed to have made history as the first Filipina and the first from the Blaan Tribe “to walk the prestigious L’Oréal Paris runway, right in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower.”
She expressed how she’s incredibly grateful to the brand for the opportunities. According to her, she’s the first transgender woman to walk at a famous fashion event and the first trans woman from the US tapped as a brand ambassador of this brand for three years.
“Huge congratulations to my Filipino sisters, @glamzilla & @piawurtzbach, for walking the runway this year—you both looked absolutely stunning and represented us beautifully.” she added tagging Wurtzbach.

She highlighted her milestone as the first-generation #Blaan Indigenous child from General Santos, Mindanao to walk in a fashion show in Paris twice. This is accordingly a fact that remains.
In a message for Pia, she greeted her and expressed her excitement to see her in the runway next year.
