Lolit Solis defended Paolo Contis
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis has been in the entertainment industry since he was a young boy and for many years, his career was being handled by talent manager-writer Lolit Solis.
Lolit made some controversial statements about Paolo in the past, whether it’s about his career or love life. Previously, the veteran showbiz writer talked about Paolo’s absence in one of GMA’s Station ID.
She pointed out that the actor seemed to be not the network’s priority. For Lolit, the actor deserves to have a primetime TV series because of his acting caliber.
The last TV series that Paolo Contis did was I Left My Heart In Sorsogon with Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista back in 2021. His current regular show is Bubble Gang which is airing every Sunday night. Paolo’s new movie Dear Satan received criticism and an X-rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
Based on the recent article by entertainment writer Salve Asis, Lolit Solis stressed Paolo’s caliber which would prove that he deserves a big project from GMA.
“Pero bakit parang lahat ng lumalabas na mga bagong serye, wala si Paolo. Doon lang ako nagtataka. E compared naman sa ibang artistang nilalabas na bida sa mga seryeng ‘yun, ilalaban ko naman si Paolo anytime. Pero mahal ko ang GMA ha,” she said.
When asked what she could say about people’s comment that Paolo is already “laos,” Lolit said that Paolo is more popular than a certain actor.
Then, Lolit even said that Paolo is even better compared to R (mentioned the name of an actor). “Bakit kung kay R lang mas mahusay na artista si Paolo Contis ah,” the veteran showbiz writer said.
Meanwhile, Lolit Solis shared that she wanted Paolo Contis to have his own house. The veteran showbiz writer said that the actor is currently living in Rockwell but he is just renting the place.
