Recently, a Facebook user named Myca Bo-oc and her mom, Mitchel, are not just family but also classmates and study buddies. At 42 years old, Mommy Mitchel is more than just playful and fun, she’s also an academic achiever and a scholar since 2021.
Myca is proud and happy to be on the same journey as her mom as they both pursue their dreams of becoming teachers. Many people have experienced their mothers as their first “teachers,” but Myca’s experience is different, her mom is literally her classmate.
The lady student shared the pros and cons of this unique setup on TikTok, where the video has already reached more than 6.4 million views.
The teenage girl shared that her mother, Mitchel, came from a financially struggling family and was only able to finish high school before getting married at a young age. When Myca was ready for college, her mom decided to give school another try.
Mitchel was accepted, and now both are in their fourth year of college, taking up BS Education majoring in English.
One of the best parts of their shared college life, according to Myca, her mom becomes her study partner. They review together and complete their school requirements side by side. Mitchel, being the generous mom she is, also treats Myca to snacks during study breaks.
The two aim to teach together as English teachers, continuing their academic journey hand in hand. Myca fondly says that with her mom as her classmate, she always has her “study buddy” by her side.
