According to his story, the reason for the breakup was his ex’s habit of constantly “flexing” her purchases on social media, making her appear like a “social climber.” Many netizens debate whether this was a shallow reason for ending a relationship.
The anonymous sender recounted an incident where he and his ex-girlfriend went shopping at a well-known clothing store. They purchased a few items like pants, shirts, and socks. When it was time to pay, his ex-girlfriend asked the cashier to place each item in separate paper bags.
This request made him feel embarrassed, but the situation got worse after they left the store. His ex then suggested they go to a famous coffee shop and asked him to take her picture holding the paper bags so she could post it on her social media story.
According to him, this wasn’t a one-time occurrence. She would do the same thing every time they went out on dates, making him feel uncomfortable.
Eventually, he couldn’t take it anymore and asked for a breakup just two weeks later. He admitted that, although she was a great person, he couldn’t handle her constant need to show off.
