“Isa po akong victim,” says dismissed mayor Alice Guo as she denied that she is not a mastermind before the Senate Committee on Women.
Former mayor Alice Guo graced the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality’s hearing on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. In this incident, the ex-mayor insisted on being a “victim” and denied being a mastermind.
Various government agencies have been digging deeper into details regarding the raided illegal Pogo hubs in Bamban and Porac, Pampanga. During the continuation of the hearing about the matter, Guo expressed her willingness to name those who are “most guilty”.
“Hindi po ako mastermind. Ang masasabi ko po isa po akong biktima,” she said.
She admitted that she was helpful but when it comes to allegations, she maintained that she is not guilty. Guo, who was arrested in Indonesia when she escaped, added that with the length of this investigation, the committee probably already knows “who is really at the back of everything”.
In March, the Zun Yuan Technology Inc. in Bamban was raided which resulted in the surfacing of hundreds of undocumented foreign workers and illegal activities. These illegal activities included illegal detention, human trafficking, physical abuse, scamming and surveillance of government websites, and many others.

As mentioned, Guo is willing to identify the “most guilty” in the illegal POGO operations which prompted the panel to agree to hold an executive session. This is the information she was accordingly afraid to reveal in a public hearing due to Guo’s supposed death threats.
The former mayor also agreed to an executive session on the condition that her lawyer, Stephen David be there through a video conference.
As much as we all know, Guo is facing several complaints which include money laundering, human trafficking, graft, and misrepresentation.
