Rabiya Mateo talked about her relationship with Jeric Gonzales
Kapuso actress Rabiya Mateo spoke about the unfollowing issue that happened between her and her boyfriend actor Jeric Gonzales and the rumors that they broke up.
Rumors surfaced that Rabiya and Jeric were no longer together when netizens noticed that they were not following each other on Instagram. Then, speculations surfaced that the couple reconciled and got back together.
The couple had ambiguous statements when asked about the status of their relationship amid the breakup rumors. Eventually, they became lovey-dovey again on social media and even shared their simple date in which they only spent P177 for their monthsary celebration.
In a recent guesting on The Boobay and Tekla Show, based on the article in PEP, Rabiya Mateo was asked about the unfollowing issue and the status of her relationship with Jeric Gonzales.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 said that she and her boyfriend did not unfollow each other on Instagram. It just so happened that at that time, she had a “topak” due to the natural monthly period, she blocked Jeric.
“So my day, it was a bad day, and then I blocked Jeric. So, hindi ko naman ini-expect na mahahagilap agad yun. Ipa-follow ko na siya dapat din, kasi nag-okay na kami that day. Pero nakalimutan ko, e wala na, sumabog na,,” the celebrity from Iloilo explained. However, she said that she is not still following Jeric right now.
Rabiya also shared that at that time, it was Jeric who told her about the issue because they were together from their Taiwan trip. Because of that speculations about the status of their relationship circulated and Rabiya was aware of that.
The Kapuso actress said that just like in other relationships, she and Jeric also have their misunderstandings and conflicts. However, she stressed that they are still together and despite their differences, they are working on to better understand each other.
