What is happening between Rabiya Mateo and Jeric Gonzales?
Netizens have noticed that Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and her boyfriend actor Jeric Gonzales unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Rabiya and Jeric confirmed their relationship last March. However, in May, the beauty queen-turned-actress shared a “hugot” post that elicited speculations that it has something to do with her relationship with the actor.
However, the “couple” shared their sweet photos together during their Sparkle contract signing. Last week, controversial photos of Jeric Gonzales surfaced online. In the photos, he was seen having intimate moments with an unidentified guy.
Amid this issue, fans of the actor defended him and explained that the controversial photos were from his indie film back in 2020. Rabiya Mateo also shared a video that was taken during her date night with her boyfriend that would apparently shut down the rumors.
However, on June 20, several netizens shared on social media screenshots of the Instagram accounts of Jeric and Rabiya showing that they have unfollowed each other.
It can be noticed as well that Rabiya has already deleted her photos with Jeric on her account. As of this writing, the actor’s IG account still has his photos with Rabiya.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview, the Ilongga beauty said that she and the actor have been fighting for their relationship amid the negative reactions and the warnings that were told to her, especially when it comes to her blooming career in showbiz.
However, Rabiya Mateo said that she chose not to listen to other people’s opinions. “Huwag kang mag-boyfriend. Huwag kang pumili ng artista. Pero I did not listen to them, and I chose to love at its fullest,” she said.
