Ken Chan is doing this regarding the case filed against him
Kapuso actor Ken Chan will return to the Philippines to face the syndicated estafa complaint that was filed against him by his business investors.
Ken has a restaurant business, aside from his active career in showbiz. However, a blind item recently surfaced that was allegedly about him. It was alleged that he went abroad to evade arrest as a case was filed against him.
Although Ken has not granted any interviews or answered inquiries from people in media, he shared updates on his social media page which apparently showed that he is not hiding.
Allegedly, it was Ken’s business partner who took away the money from the investors. Amid this issue, it was rumored that the actor is trying to sell some of his properties.
In a recent article, it was stated that Ken Chan changed his legal counsel. Reportedly, he hired Atty. Maggie-Abraham-Garduque, who is also the legal counsel of GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz in the case filed by Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach.
In an article by entertainment writer Gorgy Rula in Pilipino Star Ngayon, he shared that Atty. Garduque only answers questions about her clients Nones and Cruz but the lawyer is not saying anything when asked about Ken.
Rula also shared that according to what they heard, Ken asked for help from Atty. Garduque regarding the next step that he should take. Reportedly, the lawyer filed a petition for review to reverse the Quezon City Office of the City Prosecutors’ resolution. If this is granted, the case filed against him might be withdrawn.
The columnist also shared that based on what the people from GMA’s youth-oriented show MAKA said about Ken Chan, the actor is abroad but he will return to the Philippines to face the case filed against him.
It was also said that when the resolution was released, Ken was already abroad, so he just continued his vacation with his family. Rula said that as of this writing, these are all based on what information they have gathered. Ken Chan has not released a statement yet about the case filed against him.
