Vlogger to Face Charges for Unauthorized Train “Date” Shoot Inside LRT-2

A vlogger is facing possible penalties after filming an unauthorized “random train date” inside an LRT-2 train.

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is currently considering what action to take following the incident. The shoot was reportedly done without any clearance or permission.

Recently, the TikTok account @TrionKwentos shared a video showing the vlogger sitting beside a female passenger inside the train. He proceeds to set up a folding table, covering it with a white cloth and placing a picnic basket, glasses, plates, candles, and even a candelabra.

The setup appeared to be part of a “date” concept, as the vlogger then attempted to engage the female passenger in a meal while inside the train. This content was inspired by similar ideas from foreign creators.

In an official statement released on social media on September 9, 2024, the LRTA confirmed that the video was shot without proper authorization, violating their guidelines. The LRTA emphasized that such activities are strictly prohibited on their premises due to privacy concerns for passengers and potential safety risks.

LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera explained that unexpected events, such as sudden stops or emergency brakes, could have made the setup dangerous. Objects like glasses and plates could easily fly off the table and potentially harm other passengers.

Cabrera also pointed out that eating inside the train is not allowed, noting that the vlogger had opened and eaten bread during the video.

There have also been complaints from passengers who were caught on camera without their consent. While the LRTA is still deciding on the appropriate actions, they are considering sending a formal letter to the vlogger, calling his attention, or possibly imposing sanctions.

The LRTA encourages content creators to respect passengers’ privacy and safety regulations, and to always seek proper authorization before conducting any filming inside LRT premises.
