Former Actress Kris Aquino Arrives in PH
KRIS AQUINO – The former actress is now back in the Philippines after two (2) years of treatment in the United States.
Countless people are hoping and praying for the recovery of Kris. It is not a secret to the people that she is battling multiple health conditions for years now. Most of the years in her life were spent before the public’s eyes and her health battle is visibly one of the biggest challenges that came to her.
Kris Aquino was popular as the youngest daughter of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino Jr. and the late former President Cory Aquino. The Aquinos is one of the most popular clans in the Philippine politics.
Meanwhile, while her family is popular because of their political careers and although she is known since she was a child, Kris made her own name in another field — the showbiz industry. She had the years when she was one of the most bankable stars in the field. She is an actress and a talk show host.
However, a few years ago, the decline in the health of Kris set in. The former actress battled not just one but multiple autoimmune disorders. In 2022, she had to fly to the United States for her treatment.
The former actress who was usually active on social media started taking a socmed hiatus. Meanwhile, from time to time, she would make a post to share updates about her treatment and journey in the United States.
A few days ago, Kris Aquino confirmed that she is set to return to the Philippines. She also detailed the cause of her homecoming. The actress admitted that she is set to have her second immunosuppressant infusions in 2-3 weeks and she needs the encouragement and the unwavering faith of her sisters and cousins, closest friends, and her team of trusted doctors.
Kris stated in her social media post that she had three (3) diagnosed autoimmune disorders when she arrived in the United States. Her fourth autoimmune disorder was diagnosed in U.S. in June 2022.
However, this 2024, Kris Aquino was diagnosed with SLE/Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. She also revealed that they still await the results of two (2) more autoimmune conditions. She stressed that the battle now is to protect her organs and it is the fight of her life.
