PAGASA Says Fair Weather To Prevail Over Most Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that fair weather will prevail over most parts of the country.
On Monday (September 9, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that Fairweather is seen in most parts of the country with chances of rain. The Southwest Monsoon will continue to affect Luzon and will bring rains.

“Southwest monsoon pa din ang nakaka-apekto sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon na magdadala ng pag-ulan lalung lalo na sa may Ilocos Region, Cordillera [Administrative Region], gayundin sa may bahagi ng Cagayan Valley region,” Badrina said.
The southwest monsoon will bring Ilocos Region, Apayao, and Abra will have occasional rains over Ilocos Region, Apayao, and Abra.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region due to habagat.

“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng ating bansa, dito sa Kamaynilaan, inaasahan natin ang maulap na panahon, habang sa Visayas, Mindanao at Palawan, inaasahan nating generally fair weather po tayo ngayon,” he added.
Habagat will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Bicol Region.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency is monitoring two Low low-pressure areas. One was spotted at 1,155 km east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon. It is not expected to make landfall.
The other one was located 2,810 km east of Eastern Visayas and has a chance of entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

“Hindi natin inaalis ang posibilidad na ito ay maging isang bagyo, Sa ngayon naman ay maliit ang tyansa nito na tumama sa kalupaan,” he further explained.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
