CCTV Catches Sudden Collapse of an Electric Pole as Woman & Child Pass By
A CCTV camera at a local eatery captured a shocking incident when an electric pole suddenly collapsed as a woman and a child were passing by.
An electric pole accident occurs when a utility pole, which carries electrical wires, collapses or is damaged, often causing live wires to fall. This can result in power outages, property damage, and even injuries or fatalities.
Such accidents can happen due to various reasons like storms, vehicle collisions, or structural weaknesses. The risk is heightened because exposed electrical wires can cause fires or electrocution if people come into contact with them. Emergency services usually respond quickly to secure the area and prevent further harm.
Recently, a video showing a woman and a child glancing back in surprise before quickly running as the pole came crashing down. Unfortunately, the child tripped and fell right where the pole was about to land. Luckily, the pole struck the hood of a nearby car instead of the child.
As the pole fell, the power cables sparked and popped, creating a sense of panic. People nearby waited for rescue services to arrive, worried about the potential danger from the fallen cables. Despite the scary situation, the woman and the child, who were in Guizhou province, China, were unharmed. Fortunately, no one else was injured either.
The collapse of the pole caused damage to the car it hit and also affected a motorcycle parked nearby. Additionally, the incident resulted in a power outage on the entire street, disrupting local businesses and causing inconvenience for motorists passing through the area.
Police quickly arrived at the scene to ensure everyone’s safety and prevent further accidents. The local power company has launched an investigation to determine what caused the power pole to suddenly fall.
