Lawyer Speaks on Wesley Guo, Alice Guo’s Brother, Plan to Surrender to PH Gov’t
Alice Guo’s brother Wesley Guo is willing to surrender to the government according to Attorney Stephen David.
Three (3) of the personalities with arrest orders in the Philippines are now in the custody of the authorities. These people include former Mayor Alice Guo who was recently arrested in Indonesia.
Guo reportedly left the Philippines in July and went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia amid several complaints filed against her in PH. The authorities believe that she went to Singapore and then to Indonesia.
Prior to the arrest of the former Mayor, her alleged companions, Shiela Guo and Cassandra Li Ong, were detained in Indonesia and sent back to the Philippines. Guo is now in the custody of the Senate while Ong is in the custody of the House of Representatives.
Cassandra Li Ong was brought to the hospital as she fell dizzy during the House hearing. The doctor found the blood pressure level of the alleged illegal POGO representative very low.
Recently, Alice Guo’s lawyer expressed his confidence that the former Mayor will face all the accusations against her. Attorney Stephen David who is also the lawyer of Alice Guo’s brother, Wesley, also appealed to the public to refrain from making “baseless accusations”.
David stressed that Guo is innocent unless she is proven guilty. Recently, Alice Guo’s lawyer claimed that the former Mayor’s brother, Wesley Guo, is willing to surrender to the Philippine government.
Cassandra Ong claimed that she Wesley’s girlfriend and she is not friends or business partners with Alice. According to her, it is only because of her boyfriend that she knows the former Mayor of Bamban, Tarlac.
According to Atty. Stephen David, Wesley also wants to surrender to the authorities but the lawyer refused to speak on the details. According to the lawyer, Alice Guo’s brother does not see the essence of hiding.
“Siyempre dumadating yung point ng isang tao yung nadi-discourage ka diba? Kasi yung mga kasama mo nandiyan na lahat,” David said.
Based on the report, the lawyer has already reached out to certain government agencies regarding the plan of Wesley Guo to surrender. According to him, he does not know where Alice Guo’s brother is right now.
