Teejay Marquez was shocked about what happened to Sandro Muhlach
Actor Teejay Marquez was asked about the harassment issue in showbiz and what happened to his fellow actor Sandro Muhlach.
Sandro’s experience shocked the showbiz industry as he bravely went against his alleged abusers Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz, known as GMA independent contractors. Amid this challenge in his career, and life in general, Sandro received support and empathy from the online community.
However, some netizens bashed him and some comments against him were below-the-belt. This was the reason why Sandro filed a cyber libel complaint against three netizens.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, since the Sandro Muhlach issue has been a hot topic, Teejay Marquez was asked to react to this.
Teejay had no idea that something like this was happening in the industry and he hoped that there would be a resolution.
“Nagulat ako na may ganun. So, I mean sana, hopefully masolusyunan. Sana kay Sandro, sana maka-cope up siya nang maayos, at alam ko naman na yung family niya, nandiyan sa likod niya to support,” he said.
Teejay also reminded Sandro that there are a lot of people who love him and that he will recover from this traumatic experience.
When asked if he encountered harassment in showbiz, Teejay said that he is thankful that this kind of incident did not happen to him. However, he admitted that there had been indecent proposals.
He said that this is inevitable that some people would attempt to offer indecent proposals through social media. “So siguro thankful lang din ako na hindi ko na-experience kasi hindi ko rin sure na kung ma-experience ko siya kung ano ang magiging reaction ko,” he said.
Teejay Marquez also said that it is a good thing that Sandro Muhlach has a strong support system as his family rallied behind his back amid this issue. For Teejay, it would be difficult for him to handle if ever this incident happened to him because he only has his grandmother.
