In an interview, veteran actress Coney Reyes shares something about her son Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and his love life.
Coney Reyes and Vic Sotto’s only son is Vico Sotto, the current mayor of Pasig City. Back then, he was just a little over a year old when his mother and his father decided to end their relationship.
Their son is in politics and as per Coney, it was something she never expected but, at the same time, she is fully supportive of. She trusts his son and she knows that he is doing the right thing.
Apart from his career in politics, many people are also curious about his love life. What does Coney have to say about this?
In the Monday of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda”, Vico’s mother shares something.
According to the actress, she used to meddle and ask questions about her son’s love life but she reached the point now to stop doing it. There were people who ask her and tells her to introduce this person to him and all but what she would always tell them is ‘Sorry ‘di ako nakikialam.’
She then added, “Tapos sasabihin nila, ‘Ang strict ni Tita.’ Ay hindi sa strict! Hindi ako strict, kung strict ako e ‘di bawal.”
She used to ask him ‘Do you have a girlfriend na? Do you like somebody?’ but as mentioned, she stopped. Also, there was never a time that her son has brought someone home or has introduced someone to them.
“He had girlfriends, friends, mga classmates niya before, mga ganyan and they will all go out as a group. You know they will go out something like that for a break,” she said.
She’s not the meddlesome type of a mother but she trusts her children as she raised them in a way that they have this fear of God.
Meanwhile, Reyes is a part of the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean drama “Shining Inheritance”. The other cast members are Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, and Michael Sager. It will begin airing on September 9.
