Henry Omaga-Diaz Receives Messages From Karen Davila, Bernadette Sembrano

Here are the tributes Henry Omage-Diaz received from them.

After almost four decades of working in ABS-CBN, Henry Omaga-Diaz leaves and his co-news anchors have these tributes for him.

Veteran TV anchor Henry Omaga-Diaz bids farewell to ‘TV Patrol’ as he is leaving ABS-CBN after decades of working with the company under the news department. At the end of the program on his last day, Omaga-Diaz expressed how much he will miss his ABS-CBN family.

Diaz leaves TV Patrol and ABS-CBN to finally be with his family in Canada. His wife knew how hard it must have been for him to let go of something he is passionate about. But finally, the time they have been talking about ever since has finally come.

ABS-CBN gave him a tribute through a video that showcased his contributions and his dedication when it comes reporting. Alvin Elchico is taking over the anchoring duties he left in TV Patrol.

Karen Davila, in an Instagram post, gave Omaga-Diaz a tribute. He is set for a new adventure in Canada but before this, she expressed her gratitude to him for how they were treated by him.

“You are one of the nicest, coolest and most humble guys in the industry. Walang masamang tinapay kanino man! Very unassuming, low key!” says Davila and added that they will miss him including his punchline and “Tito” jokes.

Bernadette Sembrano, someone who is also close to the news anchor, penned a message for him as well. His commitment and dedication to serve the people through his reporting are proof that he is “a journalist par excellence”.

As per the words of many, he has “walang ere” and is loved by many people from behind the camera. She knows how hard it was for him to leave but seeing the other side of him, she can say that he is not only a dedicated reporter but also a dedicated family man who is willing to give up his passion to be with his family.

“We love you, Papa Henry!” Sembrano ended her post.
