Camp of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Says He Wants To Clear his Name in PH
PASTOR APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The camp of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Founder revealed his condition to President Bongbong Marcos.
It has been more than five (5) months now since an arrest order was issued by the Senate against Pastor Quiboloy. He has been into hiding and there are speculations that he is in Davao City — but they remain speculations even amid the massive search operations now.
Pastor Quiboloy is faced with complaints. The Senate arranged a hearing to discuss the complaints against him but he snubbed the invitation of the upper chamber. He was cited for contempt and an arrest warrant was released against him.
However, the authorities have yet to locate the Pastor. The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) even announced a reward money for information that could lead to Quiboloy’s arrest.
Only a co-accused of Pastor Quiboloy was arrested in Davao City. Previously, the Court of Appeals has released a Freeze Order on the bank accounts and properties of the Pastor and the KOJC which was valid for 20 days.
Currently, several Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel are in KOJC compound in Davao in the pursuit of finding the Pastor. The CA also extended the Freeze Order on the assets of Quiboloy as announced by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).
Recently, the camp of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy revealed his condition to President Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on GMA News, the Pastor wants the President to issue a written declaration that he will not be rendered to the United States in case he will surface to face the accusations against him in the Philippines.
Quiboloy is also facing complaints in the United States. Based on the report, his legal counsel, Attorney Israelito Torreon, who is also the spokesperson of the KOJC said that the Pastor wants to clear his name in the Philippines because “the case is really weak”. The lawyer also stressed that it has been dismissed in the past.
“The final decision rests with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Maybe that will end if President Marcos will really issue a written declaration that he will not be extraordinarily rendered to the United States of America,” Torreon said.
Based on the report, the camp of Pastor Quiboloy also said that the petition for review was even allegedly defective and it should have been dismissed. Throughout the process, the Pastor has continuously denied the allegations against him.
