Fur Mom in Tears After Seeing CCTV Footage of Her Dog’s Last Moments
A fur mom was brought to tears after seeing the CCTV footage of her pet dog just moments before it passed away.
Recently, a heartbroken fur mom Mariz Lacuesta shared her emotional experience after watching the CCTV footage of her beloved dog’s final moments. The dog, named Annie, had been with the family in Quezon Province for four years, bringing them love and joy ever since they rescued her.
Annie’s last night with her family was captured on CCTV, showing a deeply touching moment. The footage showed Annie quietly watching over her family as they slept. Her fur mom did not expect that this would be the last night they would spend together.
The dog passed away on August 24, 2024, due to kidney failure. Although the family had been preparing for this outcome, the loss was still incredibly painful.
“Last year pa siya na-diagnose ng kidney failure. Nung nalaman kop o na parang ganun na yung stage, parang gumuhi po ‘yung mundo ko e, para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig kasi alam ko na pwede na siyang tumagal na lang nang hanggang 6 months,” Lacuesta said.
The fur baby had been diagnosed with kidney failure a year before, and from that moment, Mariz felt like her world had collapsed. Lacuesta knew that Annie’s time might be limited to just six months, and the thought was unbearable.
Despite the grim diagnosis, Mariz and her family did everything they could to fight for Annie’s life. They made frequent trips to the vet whenever Annie’s condition worsened, and they never gave up on her.
“Sabi ko sa isang taon na puro tusok ka ng karayom, puro swero, balik-balik sa vet, ang dami mo nang pinagdaanan, pwede bang pag aalis ka na, gusto ko ba yung parang natutulog ka na hindi kita makikita na naghihingalo. Tapos yun nga ang nangyari,” Mariz said.
Mariz had only one wish for Annie, that when the time came, she would pass away peacefully in her sleep, without suffering. Heartbreakingly, this wish was granted.
Now, Mariz and her family are struggling to move on from the loss of Annie, whom they consider a beloved member of their family.
“Kung may magagawa lang yung pagmamahal mo para dugtungan yung buhay niya, siguro buhay pa po siya ngayon. Na-realize ko na kahit anong pagmamahal mo, kahit anong alaga mo, wala. Maiksi lang talaga ang buhay po nila,” she added.
